MEMBERSHIP MATTERS
The Arc of Grays Harbor is a membership organization. Our mission as a non-profit
organization is to advocate and support a better quality of life for people with
intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. The Arc started 75 years ago as a
grassroots organization made up of members who joined together to improve the
lives of children with disabilities.
From the very beginning the group realized the need to collect dues and
establish membership rolls.
Why is membership in The Arc of Grays Harbor important?
Your personal membership in The Arc of Grays Harbor is important to us. Your membership signifies your
support of our mission, it allows us to stay in contact with you and keep you
informed with up to date information on our cause, resources and services. Your membership allows us to count
you in our collective as we advocate before the legislatures, and as we
represent people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our
community.
Your personal membership in The Arc of Grays Harbor is important to you. Your membership allows you to make a
personal stand for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in
our community, it qualifies you to continue to receive our monthly newsletter
and updates, and it gives you the right to vote at our annual membership meeting
and to participate in all of our activities. Your
membership with the Arc of Grays Harbor gives you membership in The Arc of
Washington State and The Arc of the United States.
Please note: Our membership lists are not published, distributed or sold, your
privacy is very important to us!
Three ways you can join:
Individual Membership
As an Individual Member you will receive a personal membership card, you will be
added to our mailing and email list and be invited to participate in our events
and annual meeting. Membership is
valid for one year and presentation of your membership card at participating
area businesses will entitle you to discounts.
Our recommended donation for an individual membership is $20.00 or $5.00
for persons with a disability.
Small Business Membership
As a Small Business Member you will receive up to three
individual memberships, a Membership Plaque which you can proudly display in
your place of business and a quarterly business card sized add in our
newsletter. Our recommended donation
for a Corporate Membership is $100.00.
Corporate Sponsor
As a Corporate Sponsor you will receive five Individual Memberships, a
Membership Plaque which you can proudly display in your place of business and a
quarterly business card sized add in our newsletter. In addition, we will feature your
business and your involvement with our cause annually in one of our monthly
Newsletters. Our recommended
donation for a Corporate Sponsor is $250.00
